The museum of football legends will then have the “greatest relic in history”according to its authorities, in its seven-storey space located in front of Puerta del Sol, in the center of Madrid.
On display there, among other treasures, will be balls with which the 1930 Uruguay World Cup final was played, a 1901 Alumni club shirt, a pair of boots from the Nazi regime’s German team and the Santos shirt with which Pelé won the Libertadores 1964.
Also Johan Cruyff’s shirt on the day of his debut in the Netherlands, Juan Román Riquelme’s Boca number 10 with which he beat Real Madrid in the 2000 Intercontinental Cup, Claudio Caniggia’s shirt in the victory over Brazil in Italy 1990 and that of José Luis Brown in the final of Mexico ’86.
Ordas, owner of the Legends company, brings together the largest private collection of used shirts in the world, which will now have its place on display after 15 years of traveling exhibitions at different sporting events.
The Ordas collection has more than 5,000 shirts and other objects such as medals, trophies, balls and historical boots.
