The first amateur duel between the Bundesliga clubs SV Ried and LASK in this regional league season took place on Friday: The people of Linz prevailed with a clear 3-0 away win. The OÖN have taken a close look at both teams and give an overview of who the most promising talents of the Oberhaus clubs are.
LASK: With Florian Flecker and Marco Kadlec, two kickers scored the goals in the 3-0 derby victory, who already have a few games in Austria’s top league under their belts. Other black-and-white talents are not yet in the spotlight, but they are believed to be capable of this leap – such as 18-year-old Luca Wimhofer, who is playing his first adult games this season. Amateur coach Patrick Enengl still knows the central defender from his time as academy coach and promoted Hellmonsödter to the second team in the summer. Just like Armin Haider: At 16, the offensive player is one of the youngest kickers in the squad and, having played seven games for the Austrian U17 team, is one of the top talents of the Black and Whites. Two possible “men to watch” came from Germany in the summer: 20-year-old central midfielder Gabriel Zirngast from Ingolstadt II and central defender Yannick Oberleitner, who came from Augsburg’s second team and had already been trained as a junior at Bayern Munich.
SV Ried: Even if the derby result was clear – with nine points from five games, the Innviertler made a good start to the season. Valentin Akrap is one who has drawn attention to himself with four goals: The 19-year-old Croatian has a guard size of 2.02 meters – and has already been compared to a former Ried kicker: “His style of play is reminiscent of Adte Nuhiu, despite Technically, he’s really good for his size,” says Ried’s sporting director Thomas Reicheltshammer. Another youngster from the Vikings has recently even played professionally: 17-year-old Belmin Beganovic. His greatest weapon: incredible speed. In training tests, it has already been measured at 37 km/h.
