The rain of the last few days was a blessing for the organizers – the garrison training area in Asenham near Mehrnbach is ready for the motocross aces next weekend, who will be holding two national championship races (Sunday) and the Austrian club championship (Saturday).
But the international competition in the Innviertel at the sixth of eight championship stations is great. The world championship leaders Roan van de Moosdijk and Kay de Wolf, both Husqvarna factory pilots, are also at the start, as are the French shooting star Maxime Grau and the Hungarian youth world champion Aron Katona. Michael Sandner from Mühlviertel, who is already strong in the European Championships this year, wants to hold his own in the top class MXOpen. Local hero Maximilian Ernecker is missing because of an international assignment.
