Rapid ultras challenged the club leadership in the European Cup shame

Rapid Wien were eliminated from the UEFA Conference League after losing 1-0 at home to Vaduz (1-1 in the first leg), missing out on revenue of more than EUR 3 million. The poor sporting performance of the Viennese was not enough to upset their own fans:

Apparently, some of the Ultra supporters needed to talk to the club management and therefore made their way to the VIP stand after the final whistle. Recordings show a fan in front of the stands gesturing and discussing with Executive Committee member Stefan Singer.

Other spectators climbed over the West Block fences and headed toward the dressing room aisles, apparently to question players. The weak start to the season and the disappointment in the European Cup has turned the supporters against the club and its leadership. For a long time, the relationship was considered good, as club president Martin Bruckner was considered a candidate for the Rapid Ultras, who are considered a power factor within the record champions.
