Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt celebrates its premiere in the premier class in Group D on the same day at 6.45 p.m. in the home arena against Sporting Lisbon. Bayer Leverkusen have to play in Group B on September 7 (9:00 p.m.) away at Club Brugge.

Both Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have home games on the first match day. Runners-up Dortmund welcomes FC Copenhagen in Group G on September 6 (6:45 p.m.). Leipzig will host Shakhtar Donetsk in Group F on the same day (9 p.m.).

The six-day group stage round ends ahead of the World Cup in Qatar (November 20-December 18) on November 1st and 2nd. In the new year, the round of 16 games will follow in February and March, and the quarter-finals in April. After the semi-finals until mid-May, the final will take place in Istanbul on June 10th.
