The European Basketball Championship starts on Thursday. Unlike in previous years, the public broadcasters will not be broadcasting live. You can still follow the games of the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 for free.
Unlike seven years ago, no live broadcasts of the home European basketball championships are planned on ARD and ZDF this year. The rights are held by the streaming service MagentaSport, which broadcasts all German games of the tournament (September 1 to 18) live and free of charge on its portal. All lots are available for customers.
Basketball EM: Germany starts against France
Venues are Cologne (preliminary round) and Berlin (final round), but also Milan, Prague and Tbilisi, where the other preliminary round groups will be played. Germany starts on Thursday (8.30 p.m. / Magentasport) in Cologne against Olympic silver winners France.
According to its own statements, ARD will show summaries of the German games at least as part of the current TV program and on the Internet.
