Casa Pia was clearly better in the first half. In the 6th minute, he threatened Taira’s shot to the crossbar and did so soon after, the Japanese Cooney beat Bruno Varela. On 30′, in a bargain between the same protagonists, the goalkeeper escaped the second. Vitoria, very slow and predictable, showed itself only in the application in the 38th minute, in which Anderson scored a goal, but was eliminated from the game.
The restart marked the return of André André to the Victorian squad and the expected reaction, with Ricardo Batista parrying a shot on goal by Nelson da Luz. But, despite the clear superiority, there were few chances, thanks to the well-organized defense of the Cossacks (one goal conceded in four days) almost throughout the entire game.
