The Famalicao won their first win of the season on Sunday, beating Santa Clara 1-0 at home. The Azores are still without victories. Mario Silva’s side started even better, but Famalicán grew throughout the game and scored in the 20th minute with Zaida assisted by Ivo Rodríguez after a free-kick that sent Santa Clara out of focus.
This goal awakened a great attacking momentum in the match, Marco beat the score 2-0 to Ivo Rodriguez with a great save, and Luis Junior avoided a draw thanks to Rildo’s amazing shot. Closer to the break, De La Fuente missed the advantage of Famalisenses.
In the second half there were fewer scoring chances, but Santa Clara added in this aspect, and on 75′ Matheus Babi missed a draw in a completely scandalous way.
The Azores attacked in the final minutes and on 87′ and 90+6′ Babi failed again, this time with a header. Famalican won in a tight game with an unpredictable result.
