Confirmed: Marco Rose will be Tedesco’s successor at RB Leipzig

Marco Rose follows Domenico Tedesco at RB Leipzig. The new RBL head coach will celebrate his debut against ex-club BVB.

Marco Rose didn’t have to endure long without a coaching job in the Bundesliga. After his surprising exit from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the 45-year-old hired – as expected – as Tedesco’s successor at RB Leipzig. He has a contract until 2024.

A home game for the coach, so to speak. Rose was born in Leipzig and started his career as head coach at Lok Leipzig before moving to RB Salzburg in 2013. So he knows the RedBull football universe very well. Rose is currently living in a suburb of Leipzig.

For Rose, things start immediately with his new team. Ex-club Dortmund is waiting for RBL next Saturday (September 10th). During the week, the Champions League duel at Real Madrid continues (September 14), before the encounter with Borussia Mönchengladbach on September 17.

Only then does the 45-year-old have some time to take a deep breath. There will be an international break at the end of September before the next game against VfL Bochum on October 1st.

Alexander Zickler, Frank Geideck and Marco Kurth will be available to Rose as assistant coaches in the future.
