Kylian Mbappé is only under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2022. The striker will apparently not extend his working paper.
Kylian Mbappé has apparently decided against a future at Paris Saint-Germain. That emerges from a report by “L’Equipe”.
According to this, the 22-year-old attacker told PSG officials that he would not extend his contract, which was due to expire in 2022.
The French top team wanted to leave Mbappé only after his working paper had expired. A change this summer is out of the question.
Mbappé has been in contract talks with Paris for almost two years. The PSG board of directors has repeatedly stated in the recent past that “the time has come for a decision”.
PSG: will Kylian Mbappé join Real Madrid in 2022?
After much deliberation, Mbappé has apparently decided against extending the contract. It remains questionable whether Paris will let his striker move for a free transfer. After all, the capital club only has the opportunity to collect a transfer fee for their top striker until the coming winter.
Real Madrid have been the hottest candidate to sign Mbappé for some time. Los Blancos are considered the French international’s favorite club.
“I’m in a place where I feel good. But is it the best place for me? I don’t know yet,” Mbappé told France Football in mid-June..
According to matching media reports, the Madrilenians have been trying to convince Mbappé of a change for a few weeks through calls, messages and visits.
