Paderborn remains a home power and HSV suddenly even wins against its feared opponent – in the 2nd Bundesliga the top teams are slowly breaking away.
SV Darmstadt can no longer follow, after a 2-0 lead on the Betzenberg at 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Sunday, they did not get beyond a turbulent 3: 3 (1: 0) and fell back to fourth place.
Hamburger SV, on the other hand, after their third win in a row, is hoping to finally be able to return to the Bundesliga next summer after five long years in the lower house. “You can see what’s going on in Hamburg,” said HSV coach Tim Walter after the 3-2 (1-0) win at Holstein Kiel on Friday evening, which saw Hamburg secure second place in the table.
