At the Malvinas Argentinas stadium in the capital of Mendoza, the two teams shared dominance and scoring chances, in the context of a balanced match.
The visiting cast established the initial advantage through a conquest of Paraguayan Blas Armoa (Pt. 13m.).
The ‘Tomba’ from Mendoza, who wasted the opportunity to provisionally rise to the top of the table, achieved parity, through defender Pier Barrios (St. 32m.).

Victoria’s ‘Matador’ knew how to take advantage of a favorable gust in the opening quarter hour and took the lead.
At 13m., midfielder Lucas Menossi (who, at times, moved like a kind of midfielder) appeared on the left to design an interesting clearance for Armoa, who rocked in the area and fired a whiplash that was covered by the goalkeeper Diego Rodríguez and violated him: 0-1
After the difference obtained, Tigre preferred to cede the initiative to his rival, who approached Manuel Roffo’s fence on different occasions and in the vast majority of them he exhibited a lack of efficiency to achieve the tie.
At the beginning of the second period, the visiting team established themselves better on the field, with Agustín Baldi who struggled in the central zone, with Menossi who made good decisions and did not have –sometimes- the desired support.
Blondel had it (another good performer) with a shot from outside the area that goalkeeper Rodríguez cleared for a corner (17m.).
However, the departure of Menossi allowed Godoy Cruz to regain prominence and establish himself as the clear dominator in the final stretch of the match. The lack of physical responses from the visiting team contributed to the locals going a few meters ahead and pressing.
First there were two separate goals annulled (in correct determinations) to Ferrari and Salomón Rodríguez. However, at 32 minutes, a long cross by Martín Ojeda led to a rushed and flawed header by Víctor Cabrera, which allowed Barrios to appear – free and unmarked – to establish the 1-1 draw.
From then until the end, the development leaned notoriously in favor of a Godoy Cruz who demanded -first- Roffo (he was injured after a clash with the Uruguayan Rodríguez) and then his substitute Gonzalo Marinelli, who avoided defeat with a remarkable intervention on the Uruguayan Larrosa, when discount time was already being played.
By the 20th. Day, Godoy Cruz will visit Barracas Central on Saturday 17 (15.30), while Tigre will receive Vélez Sarsfield on Sunday 18 (13.00).
