Di Zeo and two other bars refused to testify in the trial for the two murders in 2013

Before him Oral Court number 13made up of judges Adolfo Calvete, Diego Guardia Y Enrique Gamboathe three bars chose – on the advice of their lawyers – to make use of their right not to testify, but they reserved the possibility of doing so in the future.

According to the accusation, the three were part of antagonistic groups of “La Doce” and “they maintained an armed confrontation to dispute the power of the club’s brave bar”.

As a result of this confrontation, Marcelo Ariel Carnevale Y Angel Martin Diazwho each represented the groups in conflict, and six other members were injured.

The trial takes place in the courts located at 1171 Lavalle Street, where the security forces deployed an impressive operation of some 200 police officers, blocking vehicular traffic and deploying assault trucks and several patrol cars.

Outside the court, supporters of both opposing groups awaited the conclusion of the first hearing, in which several witnesses testified, none of whom were able to recognize the presence of the three defendants at the scene of the events.

“The reason for the dispute, far from responding to football’s own rivalry, would have been to establish which of these two factions would lead the official bar”maintains the accusation, read at the beginning of the debate.

Say Zeo is assisted by the lawyer Diego Storo, Vaux by Daniel Dinuchi and Raquel Pérez IglesiasY Colonel (today leader of the bar of The Andes) by Ferdinand Herrera.

The trial will continue this Thursday and at least four other hearings are scheduled: on September 22 and three more days in October. If found guilty, the penalty could be up to life in prison.
