“It’s a cool feeling, you can compete with the best internationally in our age group,” said defender Maximilian Bauer (22) from FC Augsburg. “It’s double the fun when you play against opponents like that.”

Sheffield United midfielder Reda Khadra is also looking forward to those games. The 21-year-old hopes to make his first appearance for Germany’s most important junior national team. “It’s always nice to play against nations like France and England,” he said. “You can compete with the best there.”

The EURO finals will take place from June 9th to July 2nd, 2023 in Romania and Georgia. Germany certainly qualified for this.
