As a tennis reporter you get around a lot in the world. There are the four big Grand Slam tournaments in Melbourne, Paris, Wimbledon and New York. In between, important tournaments take place in Monte Carlo and Madrid, for example. Maybe at the end of the season you can still take the ATP finals in Turin with you. And then there is the Laver Cup, which will be held in London this year. Until Roger Federer’s resignation was announced a week ago, the show tournament in London’s O2 Arena was not necessarily on the reporter’s travel list.
