What does Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League jersey look like? Now the first leaks have appeared – and the reactions are devastating.
The new BVB Champions League jersey was not officially presented the day before the opening game at Besiktas. Now the alleged jersey has appeared in the Indian Puma online shop and caused a stir among fans due to its unusual design.
The jersey, which was removed from the shop on Monday afternoon, is in neon yellow. Striking: The classic coat of arms on the left chest is completely missing, instead there is a small one in black in the neck area. In addition: between the lettering of the CL sponsor Evonik and the logo of the outfitter Puma there is a large lettering “BVB 09”.
“Absolute insolence”: BVB fans rage over design
Under the screenshot that the Ruhr news on Twitter widespread, negative comments on the design of the jersey accumulated: Whether “dilettantes”, “abnormal design”, “absolute insolence”, “flea market goods” or “ugly” – only a few posts were in the affirmative.
A confirmation or a denial of the association has not yet been issued. The fact that other Puma clubs are already showing up with similar designs speaks for the authenticity of the jersey. Borussia Mönchengladbach’s third jersey is also missing a coat of arms on the chest.
