With a special one-two, Energie AG Oberösterreich and the Upper Austrian Football Association will help the local clubs: The “Photovoltaic Kicker Deal” is not only intended to promote the generation of solar power, but the football clubs can also create their own electricity price cap – After all, your own electricity is produced at a fixed price. “We want to support the Upper Austrian football clubs,” confirmed Werner Steinecker, CEO of Energie AG.
“It’s a real help for all clubs. We assume that there will be more demand than supply,” said Gerhard Götschhofer, President of the Upper Austrian Football Association, and thanked him: “It’s more than sponsorship or energy marketing AG.”
Free construction
Put simply, the photovoltaic kicker deal works like this: If it is possible and desirable for clubs to install a photovoltaic system on the roof after a consultation, this will be carried out free of charge. The system itself costs nothing, but remains the property of Energie AG for the first 15 years. The clubs can produce their own electricity at a fixed price by paying a lease (depending on the volume) and can also sell the electricity in the event of overproduction. After 15 years, the association can take over the system in order to continue producing electricity itself.
