The Argentine baseball team fell to Panama in the World PreClassic

Guido Monis was the starting pitcher for the national team, who had a correct game until the fifth inning, when the local team, supported by around 10,000 people in the stadium, scored six runs and left Los Gauchos without a chance.

Before, there were scores for the Panamanian cast in the second, third and fourth innings, while in the first and third innings Argentina cleaned up the innings.

In total, the national team scored two hits against 12 for the local team and a home run, by José Ramos.

The pitchers for Argentina, after Monis’ departure, were Kevin Riello, Thomás Cuenca, Juan Elorza, Carlos Giménez and Matías Asa Bartol.

This Sunday, from 7:05 p.m. in Panama and 9:00 p.m. in Argentina, Los Gauchos will play against New Zealand, which fell to Brazil 12-7 on Friday.

This match was Argentina’s second in the World PreClassic, which will grant two tickets to the 2023 Classic.

It is a competition organized by the World Baseball Classic, Inc (WBCI), created by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA).
