Attnanger motorcycle pilot Max Kofler will be driving another race in the Supersport World Championship in Portimao this weekend. It’s his last this year. He will be replaced at CM Ducati by Luca Bernardi from San Marino from the Argentina round.
Kofler himself had hinted at the possible end a few days ago. “There is a possibility that we will end the cooperation after Portimao by mutual agreement,” said the 22-year-old. After involuntarily leaving the Moto3 class after two years in the World Championship, Kofler was racing in the Supersport racing series this year, so far there hasn’t been a World Championship point on the Ducati Panigale V2. Now came the sudden end.
But Kofler still sees opportunities for 2023. “I’ve been working with a manager since Barcelona, we’re in talks with some teams,” he told the online portal “Speedweek”.
