Second win for troubled Berliners: Against the bottom of the table from Fürth there was a 2-1 win and thus the second win of the season. The guests took the lead with a penalty.
Hertha BSC – Greuther Fürth 2-1
Despite falling behind against Greuther Fürth, Hertha BSC fought their way to their second win of the season in the Bundesliga. The Berliners prevailed at the start of the fifth match day with 2: 1 (0: 0) and initially climbed to ninth place in the table. Fürth, on the other hand, remains bottom of the table with only one counter. Striker Branimir Hrgota initially put the guests in the lead with a converted penalty (57th minute). Substitute Jurgen Ekkelenkamp equalized (61st) and played a key role in the winning goal when he pressed the Fürth own goal scorer Maximilian Bauer (79th). For Hertha it was the longed-for second success of the season after the botched start of the season with three defeats a week after the 3-1 against VfL Bochum.
