FC Bayern – Leroy Sane comments on whistles: “Don’t want to experience something like this again”

Leroy Sane comments on the whistles of some Bayern fans after the big win against Bochum and explains his increase in form in recent games.

Leroy Sane from FC Bayern Munich commented on the whistles against himself from Bayern fans a few weeks ago after his convincing appearance in the 7-0 victory over VfL Bochum.

“I know I have to deliver. Of course I don’t want to experience something like this again,” said Sane am Sky-Microphone. The national player was whistled by his own fans in the record champions’ 3-2 win against 1. FC Köln on matchday two. As a result, coach Julian Nagelsmann, among others, stood behind Sane and warned that he would still call up his performance.

Since then, the 25-year-old’s shape curve has been pointing constantly upwards. Sane had scored the 1-0 at the gala against Bochum with a fantastic free kick and prepared Joshua Kimmich’s first goal to make it 2-0 in an exemplary manner. When asked whether the whistles of the Bayern fans have spurred him on in the past few weeks, he answered briefly: “Yes, too.”

In a new position, Sane’s shape curve is pointing upwards

“I always want to do my best and I hope I can keep delivering like this,” said Sane. He was also not satisfied with his performance at the beginning of the season: “Of course there are things that can be done better.”

The change in position played a decisive role in the upswing. The winger switched from the right to the left wing after the 12-0 victory at the top division Bremer SV in the DFB Cup. Even with his good performances for the national team, Sane spun on the left.

“It’s going great. I hope it stays that way,” said Sane. The former Schalke admitted, however, that he felt comfortable on both sides. “I want to do my best on both sides,” said Sane and revealed that Nagelsmann had also spoken to national coach Hansi Flick about his position.
