Without a club, Neven Subotic is not thinking of retiring and is instead waiting for the right club to contact him.
Neven Subotic, who became champion with Borussia Dortmund in 2011 and won the double in 2012, is without a club, but is not yet thinking of an end to his career. The 32-year-old central defender recently played for SCR Altach in Austria.
“I have my sporting mainstay, where I am still in talks,” said Subotic in the “BVB holiday magazine”. So far, the right club has not been there.
Ex-BVB player Subotic: some offers are “totally absurd”
“The offers I’ve taken up so far were either totally absurd – some things might have worked, but then I or the club decided against it,” explained Subotic. “I’m still in professional mode and I train twice a day.”
Subotic only moved to Altach in January 2021 and played a total of ten competitive games for the club. Before that he was only under contract with Denizlispor in Turkey.
