Fenerbahce have presented their new coach for the coming season. However, it did not turn out to be the big solution with Joachim Löw.
The Turkish first division club Fenerbahce has introduced the Portuguese Vitor Pereira as their new coach. Pereira coached the Istanbul club from 2015 to 2016.
“I came back to tackle unfinished tasks,” a press release quoted the 52-year-old as saying.
Fenerbahce: Löw’s return this summer is no longer an issue
During his first term in office, Pereira, who already trained TSV 1860 Munich in Germany, did not win a title with Fenerbahce. After separating from Erol Bulut last March, the 101-time Turkish international Emre Belözoglu acted as interim coach at Fenerbahce until the end of the season.
In recent weeks, there has been repeated speculation about Joachim Löw’s return to the Bosporus. The outgoing national coach announced after the European Championship against England that he wanted to take “an emotional break”.
