Two found each other: Philipp Köster, “11 friends”- Editor-in-Chief, and Arnd Zeigler, “Grandmasters of football culture”, start a podcast. About football, of course, but also about much more than goals and points.
One is the founder and editor-in-chief of “11 friends”the magazine for football culture, also author, star-Voice and welcome football expert in the television studios of the republic. The other moderates on WDR television “The wonderful world of football”is a stadium announcer at Werder Bremen, also writes books, makes radio and music.
And both have been friends for more than two decades. It is therefore logical that Philipp Köster and Arnd Zeigler are now starting their own podcast, which – how could it be otherwise – revolves around football.

“Fast paced and opinionated” the two makers want to get in the mood for the football weekend every Thursday, “with steep theses and new information from the Bundesliga”. But as is well known, it’s not just important on the pitch, but also what’s around and what’s out of the way, especially for Köster and Zeigler.
That’s why it’s in “Zeigler & Köster – the football podcast” always give insights into the everyday work of the two hosts, nostalgic looks back into football history, nerdy knowledge to brag about, but also curiosities from the “big, colorful football world”as Köster promises – football culture to listen to.

In the premiere episode “Kick-off for two friends” Among other things, the two look at the sporting crisis including the dismissal of the coach at Schalke 04 and the incredible success story that Union Berlin is currently writing in the Bundesliga. There’s also a fashion review for FC Bayern’s special jersey to mark 50 years of the Olympic Stadium – which, according to Köster, isn’t the ugliest in Bundesliga history. And the two hosts reveal what you should do to appear as a guest at Sport1-“double pass” to survive.
