Arnd Zeigler and Philipp Köster are finally doing things together. It took a podcast to bring these two beacons of German football culture together on a regular basis. Every Thursday they chat about the big topics in football, the coming weekend and everything else that happened on the pitch and behind the scenes. Arnd Zeigler, born in 1965, is an author, columnist, moderator and stadium announcer for his favorite club SV Werder Bremen. Germany’s football fans know him from his weekly television and radio show Zeigler’s wonderful world of football, follow him on social media, listen to his podcast Ball you need is love or read his current publication: “Football dreams – how our favorite game can be even more fun for all of us “. He is also on the road throughout Germany with a successful live program. Anyone who doesn’t know Arnd well assumes that he vegetates in a thicket of old pennants, panini scrapbooks, leather footballs and bizarre football records. Anyone who knows him well knows that this is indeed the case.
Philipp Köster, born in 1972, is the founder and editor-in-chief of the football magazine “11 Freunde”. He collects jerseys and stadium notebooks, knows the Romanian champions of 1984 and can recite the starting XI of Borussia Dortmund in the 1986 relegation game against Fortuna Cologne by heart: Eike Immel, Frank Pagelsdorf, Bernd Storck, … He is also the author of numerous football books, including ones on history of the Bundesliga, and was named “Sports Journalist of the Year” in 2010. And very important: He is a supporter of the glorious Arminia from Bielefeld.
