Coach Gerald Scheiblehner’s team has fought its way back into the title race and is only two points behind championship leader Horn. “Of course, the mood depends heavily on the results. Internally, however, we were always able to separate them and stayed calm. We knew that we were working well,” said Scheiblehner.
A duo from Salzburg made the difference in the win against the young “bulls”: Fabian Windhager made it 1-0 after a Pirkl cross. The 21-year-old played through all of Salzburg’s youth and academy teams from 2011 to 2020 and also played seven games for Liefering. “A player that every coach would like to have. He may not catch your eye immediately, but he is extremely disciplined,” said Scheiblehner.
Seidl’s revenge on Liefering
