Seifriedsberger wants to aim high again this season

When the ski jumpers take off today in Wisla, Poland, to qualify for the new World Cup season, they will land on green jumping mats instead of white artificial snow, just like at the Summer Grand Prix. The ÖSV activists recently jumped in on the hybrid conditions on the Innsbruck Bergisel. “The girls are dying to get started,” says women’s head coach Harald Rodlauer.

So does Jacqueline Seifriedsberger from the Innviertel, who is already contesting her 146th World Cup in Wisla. “I’m fit and I’ll be happy when it starts,” says the 31-year-old. After a serious knee injury, Seifriedsberger returned once more last winter, most recently she looked at the world from above while walking up the Traunstein. Like many of her colleagues, she is particularly excited about a special premiere for the women in the World Cup season. As part of the Raw Air Tour, they are allowed to take off on a ski flying hill for the first time.
