Title contenders lived up to their roles

The first national league autumn champion has been determined: Bad Schallerbach, the big favorite for the title, spends the winter in the western state league as the leader of the table. For coach Erich Renner, however, this was not a sure-fire success. “Everything was demanded of us in many games. We are very satisfied with the points we scored and want to go back to the Upper Austrian league. But nothing has been decided for a long time,” says Renner, whose club could provide another transfer coup in winter : The rumors persist that the Trattnachtaler are on St. Pölten’s goalie Pirmin Strasser.

The autumn was okay for Grieskirchen coach Reinhard Furthner, who was able to regain second place in the table with his team in the supplementary game against Schalchen (7:30 p.m.) today. “It’s always difficult after a relegation. But the lads accepted it fully and will do everything to have a say in the end.”

After the 4-0 win over Putzleinsdorf, Bad Leonfelden is also a team in the East that was named as a candidate for promotion at the start of the season. “Four to five teams will play for the title. We wouldn’t be averse if we ended up at the top,” says Bad Leonfelden’s head of sport Dominik Mach.

Luksch has to worry about his job

The 1b team from OÖ-Legist Oedt is not completely satisfied – which is why promotion coach Andreas Luksch was temporarily suspended. “I want to see in the last game whether it’s the coach’s fault or whether we have to swap 15 players,” says Oedt President Franz Grad before the autumn finals on Saturday in Rohrbach.
