Long league break, but no big holidays for Austria’s kickers

Due to the World Cup in Qatar, the last round of this calendar year will take place in the Austrian Bundesliga next weekend, and it won’t continue for a good three months from mid-February. Nevertheless, the pros cannot enjoy a vacation that is too long – all twelve clubs have planned enough training sessions and friendlies before Christmas. However, the schedules are different.

LASK trainer Dietmar Kühbauer will send his protégés on vacation right after the home game against Sturm Graz on Sunday. However, it will not be a long holiday. There will be regular training sessions from November 30th to mid-December before another vacation is planned until January 2nd.

At SV Ried, who will play WSG Tirol on Saturday, there will be a break from Monday to November 27th and then training until December 16th, before another break will wait until January 2nd inclusive.

Champion and league leader Salzburg will provide ten to 15 kickers for various national teams from next week. This is another reason why they are considering giving a few days off training immediately after the away match against Austria Klagenfurt on Sunday. It is planned that the “bulls” will continue training until around mid-December, during which time a camp abroad is also possible. Details are to be announced in the coming days. At Second Sturm Graz they remain in training after the away game on Sunday in Pasching, the three-week vacation begins immediately after the one-week practice camp from December 2nd to 9th in Marbella. The kickers from Austria Wien, Klagenfurt, WSG Tirol, Lustenau, Wolfsberg and Altach also remain in training mode. Rapid is paused until November 21st.
