Negotiations have been dragging on for months and a change in Mbappe seems likely. PSG do not want to meet a certain requirement.
The French superstar Kylian Mbappe apparently insists on a certain clause in the contract negotiations with his club Paris Saint-Germain. Like the Spanish one Brand reported, PSG is by no means willing to meet this requirement – not least because it would hardly be legally feasible.
Accordingly, Mbappe would like to be assured in a new working paper that he can leave the club at his own discretion if he so wishes in the event of an offer from another club. According to Brand the attacker hopes to satisfy all parties: PSG would get the financial security they long for through a new contract and he would be able to freely decide his future.
PSG. Clause with Mbappe would probably not be legal, a move to Real Madrid is more likely
The French capital club apparently does not want Mbappe to meet this requirement. In addition, such a clause would probably hardly be legally enforceable: According to Article 202 of the statutes of the French league, it is forbidden to guarantee players contractually that they are allowed to leave their respective club of their own accord.
The contract negotiations between Mbappe and PSG have stalled for months, both a transfer this year and a free transfer in 2022 are considered likely. The main interested party is Real Madrid.
