Bremer SV won the DFB Cup. The top division soccer team welcomes record winners FC Bayern Munich in the first round at the beginning of August. Loud cheers broke out in the club house after the former Bundesliga professional and current ARD expert Thomas Broich fished the Bayern ball out of the lottery drum on Sunday evening. “It’s actually just awesome,” said coach Benjamin Eta on ARD: “Megagile.”
Bremer SV is looking forward to Bayern Munich

The first round of the cup will take place from August 6th to 9th, the exact fixings will be announced ten to twelve days after the draw, according to the DFB. The final in the Berlin Olympic Stadium is scheduled for May 21, 2022.
DFB decides on opponents for VfB Stuttgart
The other league clubs also caught attractive opponents for the first round. FC 08 Villingen welcomes Bundesliga relegated Schalke 04, VfL Oldenburg meets Schalke’s new league rivals Fortuna Düsseldorf. Greifswalder FC plays against Bundesliga club FC Augsburg. The traditional duel takes place between third division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach.
First division club VfB Stuttgart do not yet know their opponent. The Swabians were drawn to the “Participants of the Berlin Football Association”. The BFC Dynamo is currently registered by the BFV. “However, another club from the area of the Berlin FV appealed to the DFB Federal Court on July 1, 2021 against the BFV’s designation of the BFC Dynamo,” the DFB announced.
