NHL: Despite Wembley and Mexico: Munich for Brady “the best”

The fascinating atmosphere at the first main round game of the National Football League in Germany made a powerful impression on quarterback superstar Tom Brady.

“I’ve played twice at Wembley Stadium in London, I’ve played at Aztec Stadium in Mexico, but this was the best there is,” enthused the best footballer in history after Sunday’s 21:16 loss against the Seattle Seahawks. He found the singing of the German fans to be “epic”.

Teammate Julio Jones immediately announced that he wanted to return to Germany. “I loved it. That energy was amazing. We don’t get a chance to play in front of a crowd like that very often,” enthused the wide receiver, who caught Brady’s shot and carried it into the end zone. “First touchdown on German soil – mega,” said Jones. The game will stay in his memory forever.

However, Brady did not know whether there would be a repeat on German soil. “Oh man, that’s a difficult question. There are probably a lot of people who would like to know the answer to that,” he replied when asked if he would play in Germany again in the next few years.

Munich will share three more main round games of the National Football League with Frankfurt in the next three years. League boss Roger Goodell had recently fueled rumors about further bids for Germany.

A second appearance by Brady in front of German fans seems unlikely. Even if the veteran announced his lightning comeback in March after just 40 days, the career of the best footballer in history is coming to an end. “I will take the game in Munich for what it was, something very, very special and I don’t know what the future will bring,” said the seven-time Superbowl winner.
