Currently, Accavallo’s son owns the “El Campeón” boxing clothing and accessories brand, which operates in Parque Patricios, in the last location of what was the Accavallo Deportes chain. There he set up a museum in honor of his father, where different objects that have to do with his career rest.

Established as the best flyweight of the WBA and the WBC on March 1, 1966 in Japan, by defeating the local Katsuyoshi Takayama in an evening that went down in the history of local sports, Accavallo became the second Argentine boxer to obtain a world title, signing up for the great story that “Pascualito” Pérez had started in 1954.

Accavallo held the world title between 1966 and 1968, and defended it against the Japanese Hiroyuki Ebihara, twice, and against the Mexican Efren Torres.

The objects were recovered to coincide with the second anniversary of the death of the boxer, who died on September 14, at the age of 87, after more than a decade of suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and being admitted to a specialized clinic. His death had occurred on the Day of the Argentine Boxer.
