The emir “said, of course, that everyone is welcome in Qatar,” added the PSG boss: “The door is open and so are hearts. We are happy to welcome even more people. Everyone is looking forward to it. We We’ve waited twelve years for this. We look forward to the world coming to us so we can show them the truth about our country and our people.”
Qatar has been criticized for years for its poor handling of human rights and the living conditions of foreign workers, which has also been voiced by independent organizations such as Amnesty International. The government of the emirate rejects this.
