The world football association FIFA apparently does not stop at the ban on the “One Love” captain’s ribbon: As will be announced on Monday evening, the Belgian second jersey will now also not be allowed at the World Cup tournament.
The reason is similar: The dresses have the word “Love” on the back, which FIFA says is incompatible with their own regulations. According to the reports, the four letters must be removed if the jersey is to be used.

FIFA, which has previously championed anti-discrimination, prohibits players from displaying simple, purely positive words such as love. The Belgian selection will play their first World Cup game on Wednesday against Canada (8 p.m.).
