A scene that almost turned the game between Portugal and Ghana (3:2) upside down:
In the 100th minute, Portugal goalkeeper Dogo Costa grabbed a wide cross. The game, which was already in the tenth minute of stoppage time, seemed to be over for good. However, Costa failed to see that Inaki Williams was “hiding” behind him as he put the ball in front of him for a wide kick.
The Ghanaian striker sprinted around the goalie and would have scored if he hadn’t slipped on the turf. However, Costa’s defenders were able to rush to the rescue.
