After his brief interlude in Monza, Mario Balotelli is currently without a club. Is the attacker now drawn to the Süper Lig?
The president of Adana Demirspor, Murat Sancak, has confirmed that the Süper Lig promoted team is currently negotiating a transfer with Mario Balotelli (30).
“We almost reached an agreement with Balotelli, let’s say we’re at 85 percent,” Sancak said in an interview with A Spor and added: “Mario has told us that he wants to come to us, he will come to Turkey next week. He wants to be successful with us in order to go to the World Cup in Qatar.”
After Belhanda transfer: will Adana now also sign Balotelli?
Regarding the financing of the 30-year-old’s salary, the president said: “Half of the money for Balotelli comes from a sponsor. The club will not have any problems here and we are acting within our budget.”
Most recently, the newcomer had already attracted attention by signing Younes Belhanda (31). The former professional from Schalke 04 and Galatasaray signed a three-year contract.
Balotelli spent the past six months at Serie B club AC Monza, but missed promotion with his team. After his contract expired at the end of June, the 36-time Italian international is currently without a club and can now be signed free of charge.
