The former national player Holger Badstuber is currently without a club. Now a third division club is allegedly interested in the left foot.
Holger Badstuber is allegedly on the list of candidates for a position in the third division MSV Duisburg. That reports the WAZ. Accordingly, the Ruhrpott team is still looking for a central defender and is interested in the 31-time German national player.
The 32-year-old Badstuber was under contract with VfB Stuttgart until the end of June. Last season, however, he only played for the second team in the regional league, for which he made 28 games. In the 2019/20 season, he was still decisively involved in the promotion of the first team to the Bundesliga.
Badstuber does not want to end his career yet
“I still have grains that I can fire out. My goal is to keep playing,” said Badstuber recently picture.
Duisburg starts the new third division season in just under three weeks, so the zebras want to make a decision quickly to make it easier for a possible newcomer to get used to it.
