In the final, Limbacher from Upper Austria and Gigler from Vorarlberg met Näslund and Fanny Smith from Switzerland, a duo that was clearly to be favoured. Gigler came after the Swiss after a crest, both fell, Limbacher inherited second place. After a jury decision, Gigler and Smith were awarded third place ex aequo.
Graf took the momentum from the previous day’s victory into the round of 16, which he clearly won. In the quarterfinals against three Germans, after a good start, he got into a crowd and fell. The 26-year-old finished ninth after his qualifying win and is now 22 points shy of Howden. The next best is already 98 points behind Graf. Tristan Takats also finished eleventh in the race after a quarter-final out. Ryo Sugai (JPN) finished second ahead of Niklas Bachsleitner (GER).
