30 stitches later…

On the 27th we celebrated my mom’s 50th birthday. At this point I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. Without your support I would not be where I am today. She has invested a lot of hours and nerves in me and always has my back.

Thank you Mama!

More than 9 weeks, 2 surgeries and 30 stitches later all wounds have finally healed nicely. The fact that all threads have been removed is an important step in order to finally be able to start training normally again. Now there is no longer any risk of infection, so sweating is allowed again and things can really get going.

In the meantime, everyday things can be done again without any problems. Without crutches and splints I feel “normal” again. Nevertheless, I still have to be careful, or if I’m not, my knee will report immediately.

It’s only a small step, but it’s still a good start to the new year.

The big goal for this year is of course a full recovery. I also want to be able to train on the ice again in August and support my team. I would like to develop myself not only professionally, but also personally. I’ve made it my mission to always be my best self and save face. As already mentioned in previous blog posts, completing my apprenticeship is also a major goal.

From a sporting point of view, we ended the year pretty well as a team. I think we can all be very happy with how this season has gone so far. As a club, we set some points in the right direction last year and things are finally looking up again. You can feel the former cohesion in the whole ice rink again and it is a lot of fun to work in such an environment every day.

Unfortunately, the start of the new year was not quite as hoped for the team. The boys suddenly find it difficult to score goals in particular. Unfortunately, there are such phases, but our trainers work intensively with us so that self-confidence comes back soon.

I wish you all a happy new year, may all your wishes and goals come true.

See you soon and stay healthy
