In the fourth and last duel of the season between the Steinbach Black Wings and the Moser Medical Graz 99ers in this basic round, it will be decided who will be given preference in the event of a tie on points. So far it has been a duel this season in which the away team has always been able to celebrate. A 0:4 in Linz was followed by a 2:4 in Graz and a 2:5 in Linz – each from the perspective of the home team.

On Friday, the Steinbach Black Wings experienced their first sense of achievement in the 2023 calendar year with their 5-3 home win over Asiago. With five goals, Linz scored as many in one game as in the five previous games.
