“JDT signed the physical trainer from Argentina for the World Cup 2022, Rodrigo Barrioswho will join the coaching staff of the Tigres del Sur”, informed the most winning team of the Malaysia Super League.
Barrios from La Plata served as alternate physical trainer for the national team together with Luis Martín.
Both were distinguished as “Illustrious Citizens” of the Buenos Aires capital after the World title in Qatar.
Barrios started playing soccer in Estudiantes de La Plata and in 2019 he joined the Argentine Football Association (AFA).
The physical trainer will join the work team of Esteban Solari, another former member of the AFA who worked as an assistant Javier Mascherano in the selected sub 20who took over as the new coach of Johor Darul Takzim.
A week ago, Barrios posted a message on his Twitter account instagram and received a comment from Scaloni, who thanked him for his work on the coaching staff.
“Great Rodrigo, the best for you, thank you”wrote the DT from Santa Fe who will have to add a new “teacher” to his new coaching staff.
