17 goals in 18 games are a statement – Lukas Brückler stole the show from all his offensive competitors last autumn. The strong performances of the 22-year-old at the Salzburg Unterhausklub Golling have not gone unnoticed by some professional clubs in the 2nd division – such as FC Blau-Weiss Linz.
From 29 January to 7 February he can also prove himself to BW coach Gerald Scheiblehner: Linz will take the attacking player to the training camp and see him on his feet in Belek. “We followed him in the fall, take him with us and want to get an idea for ourselves,” confirms BW sports director Tino Wawra.
The next silk?
However, a transfer during the winter break is rather out of the question: “We are very well positioned offensively, so it wouldn’t make any sense at the moment. But with regard to summer, it could become a consideration,” says Wawra,
In any case, the people of Linz have already had good experiences with kickers from Salzburg’s amateur leagues: Top scorer Matthias Seidl came to the Stahlstadtklub in summer 2021 and has scored 27 goals in his 52 competitive games so far. The people of Linz also became aware of his brother Simon Seidl (since summer 2022 with Blau-Weiß, also from Kuchl) and Fabian Neumayr (arrived from Seekirchen during the past winter break) in the amateur area of the neighboring federal state.
