PSG: Javier Tebas accuses Paris Saint-Germain of fraud

Javier Tebas is a great critic of Paris Saint-Germain. He attacks France’s noble club again because of its transfer behavior.

La Liga President Javier Tebas has again sharply criticized Paris Saint-Germain. In an interview, the 59-year-old made serious allegations and announced evidence against PSG. “I can use numbers to prove the financial fair play fraud,” Tebas claimed in one The team-Interview. “Before Messi, PSG had 40 percent more sponsorship money than Manchester United.”

He had invited PSG boss Nasser al-Khelaifi and the head of the French league, Vincent Labrune, “to show them the numbers we have and where the irregularities are. They didn’t answer me,” added Tebas .

Paris Saint-Germain “doesn’t have the money to have the squad they have,” said the LaLiga president. “That leads to a distortion of economic competition in European football.”

Tebas had recently criticized the transfer behavior of Paris Saint-Germain several times. “How can you explain that you have a squad of almost 600 million euros?”, Tebas renewed his criticism. “If they win Ligue 1, they won’t make more than 45 million euros. That’s impossible.”

Tebas criticizes PSG transfer policy

At the beginning of September, the 59-year-old had vented his anger at the Sheikh Club on Twitter. “We criticized the Super League because it destroys European football and we are just as critical of PSG,” Tebas wrote at the time. “Unsustainable” is the salary the club pays for its players such as new signing Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Messi, like the other star newcomers Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma, came free of charge, but according to Tebas’ bill, the salary payments for the entire PSG squad amount to around 500 million euros.

In the summer, the club also paid a € 60 million transfer fee to Inter Milan for Achraf Hakimi. Further transfer payments were due for Danilo Pereira (16 million euros to FC Porto) and Nuno Mendes (seven million euros loan fee to Sporting). In return, the French generated just nine million euros through the sale of Mitchel Bakker (Leverkusen) and the loan from Alphonse Areola (West Ham United).
