Salzburg won a goal-rich 4: 4 test against Bayern

For Salzburg it was only the first test in preparation and immediately before the start of the Marbella training camp. Munich, on the other hand, completed the dress rehearsal before the start of the German league on Friday against RB Leipzig.

After goals from Leroy Sane (9th) and Sekou Koita (16th), there was a peat festival after the break, with the visitors giving up a 3-1 lead. Goals from Karim Konate (50′) and Noah Okafor (54′, 89′) were not enough for a prestigious success, as the hosts also had Arijon Ibrahimovic (69′), Kingsley Coman (71′) and Mathys Tel (88′) were successful. The “bulls” led onto the field by captain Nicolas Seiwald in the absence of the ailing Andreas Ulmer sold much better than the 7-1 debacle in the round of 16 second leg of the past Champions League season in the Allianz Arena.

Bayern provided the first highlight on their own campus in front of around 2,000 spectators. Sane was not prevented from completing the shot by Bernardo and deliberately hit the cross corner from inside the penalty area. Salzburg goalie Philipp Köhn prevented a double strike from a Kimmich shot (12′). But Salzburg responded quickly. An ideal pass from Luka Sucic into Koita’s run meant that the attacker from Mali moved towards Sven Ulreich and finished with the left (16′). Otherwise, the hosts were closer to the second goal before the break, Jamal Musiala (31st) and Sane (38th) lacked the necessary efficiency in the end.

Lightning start after rotation at break

At the break, Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle substituted everyone except Köhn, and that had a positive effect on the guests’ game, who got off to a lightning start. Amankwah Forson was still denied by Ulreich, who reacted brilliantly. After the imposed corner, he was able to parry an Adamu volley after a Baidoo crossbar header, but was powerless against Konate’s sweeper. Immediately afterwards (52nd), Okafor missed the chance to make it 3-1, but scored it two minutes later with a wonderful shot into the cross corner from the edge of the penalty area.

Bayern then tried to show a reaction and clearly dominated the action. Kimmich missed the ball from the best position (55′). The DFB team player was the only player who stayed on the field in a mass substitution in the 63rd minute. From that point on, Marcel Sabitzer, who had recently been weakened by the flu, and Paul Wanner, who had only been 17 since December 23, also played. And the offensive avalanche started rolling. After a shot into the crossbar (65th), it was Ibrahimovic who hit the corner low, although the ball didn’t seem untenable. Two minutes later, Coman shot in from 13 meters after Tel crossed.

As if that wasn’t enough, shortly after a Coman shot from long range on the crossbar, Tel provided the supposed winning goal with a shot into the near corner. But that didn’t work out, because Okafor took a wide pass and with the second touch of the ball Bayern’s goalie didn’t give a chance and Köhn was able to parry brilliantly again in the 93rd minute.
