(Blue and) white smoke went up this Tuesday evening: Christoph Peschek will become the new managing director of second division football club FC Blau-Weiss Linz. “We have reached an agreement. Christoph Peschek will be the new managing director at Blau-Weiss Linz,” confirms BW board member Sargon Mikhaeel when asked by OÖN.
After a real marathon of negotiations, the former managing director of Rapid Vienna was also waved through in the blue-and-white board meeting:
The 39-year-old becomes the sole managing director of the Stahlstadtklub and succeeds Stefan Reiter.
In the end, nothing came of a double solution together with Manuel Wellmann. However, Wellmann will remain with the club as a full-time authorized officer. Peschek will start his new job in Linz on February 1 – the contract will run for two and a half years. The club wants to officially present him at a press conference on Thursday.
