Day 2: SV Ried gives an insight into their five-star hotel

The second day of the Rieder training camp in Belek, Turkey, has begun – and the people from the Innviertel provide exclusive insights from their five-star hotel “Titanic Deluxe”. Despite the dense program, Ried’s kickers will also get their money’s worth when there is no football: the luxury resort plays all the pieces. On a river and surrounded by pine forests, nine outdoor pools, two indoor pools, a water park, wellness area, fitness center and its own shopping street are among the advantages of the luxurious resort.

There is also a beach in a quiet location. Of course, it is particularly important for Upper Austria’s soccer team: there are three soccer fields in the hotel complex. Only a few days ago, the German Bundesliga club Schalke resided in the hotel.

While top European clubs leave nothing to chance when it comes to catering, the Rieder are still easy to care for. “Since we are still relatively modest, trust in the catering in the hotel”, said head of sport Thomas Reicheltshammer. You don’t have to worry about the people of the Innviertel: meat, fish, pasta dishes or pizza are just a small selection of what’s on offer every day. However, there are also rules: “Fried, breaded or pizza are taboo for the players”, reveals Reifeltshammer. postscript: “I know why I stopped.”

Between and after the training sessions – again today we trained in the morning and in the afternoon – there is the opportunity to let the muscles loosen up again. The physios Peter Gebhartl and Jonas Wahlmüller or the masseur Reinhard Kopleder take care of the aches and pains of the Viking kickers at any time – and also allow a look into the rooms of the Ried professionals.
