LASK in Belek: Wiesinger back in team training

LASK in Belek: Wiesinger back in team training

At the end of the autumn season, LASK trainer Dietmar Kühbauer described Philipp Wiesinger as the first addition for spring: the defender has not yet played a minute this season due to a pubic bone infection. The 28-year-old missed the goal of getting back into team training at the start of the preparations because an ankle operation became necessary. But on the first day of training in Belek, the time had come: Wiesinger fully participated in the first session, in the second session in the afternoon he completed the first block and then continued to work individually on his comeback.

Although the sun in Belek mostly hid behind the clouds on the first day, the LASK was brilliant: The conditions in Belek are perfect. After breakfast, the players prepared in the weight room of the five-star hotel “Kaya Palazzo” for the morning training session, which Kühbauer kicked off at 10 a.m. The athletes strengthened themselves for the second session at 4 p.m. at the rich lunch buffet.

Test match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima

It’s not just the catering that’s great: the training ground is part of the hotel complex and can therefore be reached on foot. The first training game is on the program on Saturday: the opponent is Sanfrecce Hiroshima (1 p.m., live stream on nachrichten.at/lask). LASK signing Moses Usor will make his debut for the black and whites against the Japanese first division team, and some talents will also have a chance to impress Kühbauer.

“The time in Belek can be worth its weight in gold for the integration of these players,” said Kühbauer. The game against Sanfrecce Hiroshima is the first of four test runs in Turkey. “In these ten days we will get the finishing touches for spring.”
