Wiesinger on the way back

Wiesinger on the way back

The sun hid on the first day of LASK training in Belek, but the Bundesliga team was still beaming: Philipp Wiesinger took part in the first unit of the training camp in Turkey, and in the afternoon he worked individually on his comeback after the first block.

Coach Dietmar Kühbauer described the 28-year-old as a winter signing in the fall: After pubic arthritis and an ankle operation, the defender has not played a minute this season. In Belek he took the next step back.

Wiesinger is not yet good enough to play in today’s first test match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima (1 p.m., live stream on nachrichten.at/lask), but access Moses Usor is about to make his debut. The talents of the amateurs will also be used. “The time in Belek can be worth its weight in gold for the integration of these players,” said Kühbauer.

0-0 in the first Ried test in Belek

Local rivals SV Guntamatic Ried already played their first test match in the training camp in Belek yesterday: The Innviertlers played 0-0 against the Serbian first division club Novi Pazar. “It was a successful test,” says Ried trainer Christian Heinle, who was also happy about the first appearance of the recently injured newcomer Roko Jurisic. Captain Marcel Ziegl is also on his way back and should get back into full training in the next few days.
