Manuel Feller missed the home win in Kitzbühel and experienced a bitter moment. The Tyrolean left the track on Sunday as the slalom half-time leader with a lead of almost nine tenths of a second, but merged. Victory went to the Swiss Daniel Yule, who, in front of 20,000 people, beat last year’s winner Dave Ryding (+0.40) from Great Britain and the Norwegian Lucas Braathen (+0.41) to the other places. The best Austrian was Adrian Pertl (+0.72) in ninth place. Fabio Gstrein (+1.13) was tenth immediately behind. Michael Matt (+1.82) was 19th, Dominik Raschner (+2.54) was 21st. Marco Schwarz made a serious mistake on the icy slope in the first run and missed out on qualifying for the final. Johannes Strolz threaded in.
